BERENDA  RESERVOIR CLOSED THIS SUMMER

The City of Chowchilla will  not be opening Berenda Reservoir this summer season. The current economic conditions that have impacted the country, state, and the City have forced the City Council to make difficult decisions to ensure that core City services continue to be provided for community residents.

MAY 14 2009 PRESS RELEASE:
CHOWCHILLA BOAT RACE CANCELLED. After a meeting last night with the water district, the City of Chowchilla informed us there will not be water in the Berenda Reservoir for the June 2009 boat race. We are sorry to have to announce the June 19-21 drag boat race has been cancelled.
